Okay, similar question to the bleeding nappy rash question.

My Krystana is almost 7 months, teething and eating solids regularly. She poos about 2-3 times a day atm and like the other bleeding nappy rash question from winja, I have discovered a few times that she bleeds from some of the skin around her bottom - particularly after doing poos. Now, it's winter here and I have no heater so I can't really give her some naked time to expose it to the air, and until my hubby's next payday I have no money to buy anything but have to use what I've got here at home (ie, no Paw Paw or anti-fungal cream  ).

So my question is, is there something around the house that I can use to help her skin to heal. I have some Bi-Carb soda, so might add that to her bath, but if I apply it to her skin does she need to stay naked for a while? How is it applied???? Any other suggestions welcome.

I tried olive oil for my little one and worked great.  Also try to use diaper cream which has ZINC OXIDE in it.

Hope this info helps.

diluted bicarb works a treat, however i would also suggest to visit your local FAYS/and or Salvation Army to receive extra support of all sorts.  Baby stuff can cost quite abit  however dont feel left out when it comes to products that you might need.....reach out and ask organisations that exist for the benefit of families.

all the best, rue

While Bicarb is a good clenser used a teaspoon per cup of water the best thing to do is dab dry and sprinkle with cornflour....used in the olden days before creams were developed :-)
