Re: question
Shampoos and shower creams are rinse-off so they stay on your body for just a short while. I guess they should be fine to use. It is the moisturisers or whatever stuff you apply on your skin that you have to take care as they stay on your body and can penetrate into your skin. I am not sure how careful pregnant mums are but I feel that we should be if we are pregnant. When we are pregnant, we have to be careful with what we eat as our baby will get both the good and bad stuff. So it is with things we put on our skin as well. Our baby basically takes in all that we take in whether via the mouth or skin for about 40 weeks.
Of course, some ingredients are small enough to be absorbed into our system while some are too big. But we must always remember that the skin is the largest organ on our body and surely it does absorb chemical ingredients in the creams (sunscreen, toners, moisturisers, oils...) that we use.
If you truly want to be careful, not paranoid of course, you can look at the Miessence range. It produces organic products and totally with good natural ingredients. The range includes shampoo, conditioner, shower foam, toothpaste, moisturiser, sunscreen, lip creme...etc...100% natural and not the least harmful ingredient included. My family is currently using it and we love it for they are perfectly safe.
