Hello

I ahve a 6 month sbaby girl . She is very good, very hapy and smily baby but my concern is the cry during the day once I put her in bed.

She has been like this since birth and I don t know what i am doing wrong !

I watch her tired sign al the time and once in bed : screamings !

So far , at night she is ok

She goes to bed arount 7pm and wake up at 5 am ( very early !)

Also why does she wake up early ? Would it be hunger ? I fee her then but I am not sure that I should do that !

I need some help !

Re: daytime sleep

Hi there! At 6 months of age, she is doing quite well from 7.00p.m 'til 5.00 a.m !!! That's 10 hours! She will probably be waking up hungry,so I would give her a feed- then see if she will settle back to sleep, or if not, get her up for a couple of hours, then put her back down. This would mean popping her back to bed at about 7.00a.m- 8.00a.m. If she will have a sleep at this time, it may stop the overtired screaming later. I had no luck picking tired signs ( my cherub just refused to sleep full stop!) Having an early sleep will mean that she will probably also have a good afternoon sleep! Good luck!

Re: daytime sleep

not sure if this would work with your bub  but with mine she woke up early and id feed her straight away.. i decided to try something different one morning so i didnt feed her as soon as she woke up and she held off until 7 in the morn (she goes to bed at 7 at night)  so i did that every morning, i held off until 7.. and eventually she started waking later..

about the day naps im not really sure?  i didnt work my daughter out until about 6 months.. i put her down 2 hours after she woke up in the morn .. then 2-3 hours again after she woke up from that nap...

hope this helps.. good luck

steff and char xx

Re: daytime sleep

Hi I don't know what to advise on the naps, my daughter always fell asleep on me during the day! But she was a very early riser, I fear some children are more so than others, mine was always up at the crack of dawn! Could you try putting her to bed a little later? If thats not an option maybe you can take a nap during the day. Good luck, Em
