Re: Natural Treatment for Vaginal Thrush
I have to say, I've never had thrush, bad chaffing from wearing jeans way to tight for horse riding, but never thrush.
Thrush is usually accompanied by itching, burning and a very yeasty smell (thrush is a yeast infection after all). If none of these symptoms are present, then I would be very skeptical about it being thrush. There are other reasons for the symptoms too like a change in soap or laundry powder. Even the quality of your water supply can cause irritation for a while.
Natural yoghurt can help in the treatment of thrush, but usually just keeps the burning and itching under control, it doesn't always cure the actual infection. If you want to try this, then by tub, keep it refrigerated and apply it to the affected area straight from the fridge. Yeah, big cold shock, but it is the best way.
Just make sure you do get natural, and not a vanilla flavoured one as the flavouring could cause further problems because they are usually accompanied by even more preservatives.
Never be embarrassed to go to your pharmacy about things like this. They are trained in the art of dealing with delicate situations and are very discrete when discussing it with the pharmacist. i've found they usually talk out the back away from other people's ears, which shows they take you seriously.
Some thrush treatments are just on the shelves where you can see them, usually in the feminine hygiene section, so take a look in your own time.

Re: Natural Treatment for Vaginal Thrush
Hey,
Im like you and shy, but when it comes to thrush and other things your have to go chemist. I know your shy but they have heard it so many times, all they ask is if your pregs, are you sure you have it ect then they tell u how to take the medicine. You can get a capsule or you can get this cream that u put in a tube and put it up you lol...Just get the capsule tho, its easier and quicker. Also your husband should be treated aswell, or he will just re infect you when you get rid of it.
Thrush isnt a bad thing, its natural. Im pregnant and got it for the first time and had to get the stuff, i was shy but i got over it lol...
I have heard of the yoghurt, i know it helps with oral thrush but im not sure about vaginal thrush, but id say you eat it, dont put it on your vagina or anything.
Best thing is go chemist, say u need a treatment for a uti or say thrush, easy as that. If you lived near me id go for you lol, im not shy anymore, cant be, i have to give birth soon...
