Re: nits in kids hair
You need to find the carrier-this is the brown one which lays all the eggs. If that one is still there you can be getting rid of eggs for a long time. Once you find that get rid of the eggs and re use a method which you feel comfy with and know works-there are heaps on the market.
My son used to have them all the time, try not to feel ashamed because they only go for clean hair-they can't stick or climb on greasy hair and this is why one method of not getting them back is to apply a spray gel on your child's hair.
They don't like tea tree either so we use a preventative tea tree shampoo and conditioner and he doesn't get them anymore.
Remember to check everyone in the household as they can spread-if you have given him a cuddle and your heads touch they can cross to you and so on so you could always have a fun game of catch the nit and find each others-this also helps the child feel less dirty and upset.
Usually schools ask for you to tell them if they have got it and some schools say don't come until they haven't got them so check your schools policy.
But most of all-don't get too upset-lots of children get them and it means you are doing a good job bcause they are clean!!
We just need all parents to check hair and it shouldn't spread as much then!
So go bug hunting and squish em!!
