Re: What do you do with your childrens teeth when they fall out?
Well, I used to do the tooth fairy thing until my oldest child, now a 16 year old girlie, pulled out a tooth just to get money from the tooth fairy. She was still fairly young but because of it, we had a lot of dental work that had to be done because of the tooth fairy scenario. LOL
Needless to say, my two boys will not know the tooth fairy . Oh they ask but I tell them the truth. So sorry if I am a spoil sport but my daughter had to have surgery and braces and etc etc. Finally that ever loving tooth is in and it has been waiting to come in since she was 7 LOL. AND SHE'S A GIRL...Girls just don't do that stuff right?
So, with the two lovely adorable, climb the wall boys that I have, there is no way I am taking that chance. I will keep their first tooth that falls out and bin the rest. My 3 year old already lost a baby tooth due to tripping and falling face first on to the floor. so there is more dental work in our future. Poor baby.
They did see the Powerpuff Girl Episode and I flat out told them, sorry, there is no tooth fairy coming here for your teeth and leaving you money. I am scared because of what my daughter did and I am sure you guys understand after my little fiasco with the Tooth Fairy . Have fun with it but I'm out lol.

Re: What do you do with your childrens teeth when they fall out?
Not there yet with my brood, but I can remember when my sisters were younger (gosh, now I'm feeling old! lol).
They had a special pillow with a pocket for their tooth. They put the tooth in there, and the tooth fairy would come and leave some money. From the pillow, the tooth went into a special little container so that they couldn't cheat the tooth fairy. Our tooth fairy always left the tooth behind, so we had a keepsake, as money never seems to last! lol.
Start your own little ritual, one special to you and your family. Sticking to what is 'traditional' is so out the window these days, personalising and starting your own traditions is a great family bonding exercise, and your kids will love the originality of it.
This also applies to all special events and occassions, so don't feel you have to stick to what the rest of the world is doing, get creative and start your own family traditions that you can pass on to your kids etc.
