Need help with party treats (allergies)

Can anyone help with ideas for dairy, nut and egg free (all three, not
one or the other) birthday party treats? Savoury or sweet all
suggestions very much appreciated!

Re: Need help with party treats (allergies)

They are having a teddy bear picnic at kinder today, and we have a ban on these things (except dairy) but they have made biscuits (use dairy free spread instead of butter) honey joys (yum) and jelly cups.

Hope this helps.

Jodi

Re: Need help with party treats (allergies)

You can make things like fairy bread with Nutellex instead of margarine or butter (they have dairy), rice crackers, we have a recipe for egg-free biscuits that again you could make with nutellex - or I guess you could use egg substitute to  make ordinary cake & biscuits (though you would have to use soymilk instead of milk).  Check out the health food section for allergy free foods, such as Freedom foods and just check and double check the ingredients.

How about rice krispy treats?

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 (10 ounce) package regular marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 6 cups KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* cereal
DIRECTIONS
  1. Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in vanilla. Stir in KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* cereal until well coated. Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered 3.5 L (13x9-inch) pan.
  3. Allow mixture to cool. Cut into bars. Best if served same day.
