Oh Fi, I know how bad it can be. With my first, I couldn't even keep the Maxalon down long enough for it to take effect. Even sips of water bounced straight back up and in the end, I had to go to hospital as my life and bubs life were at risk. There, I was given intravenous Maxalon and fluids, which worked, was kept nil by mouth for the first day and then only allowed to eat liquid foods. This trip was taken 3 times, the last being on my birthday and I was 14 weeks.
This intense morning sickness is called Hypermesis Grevadium, and is characterised by constant vomiting to the point of risking life. Actually, one of the Bronte sisters died from it, Charlotte I believe.
Any how, try some plain, salty chips. They give back much needed salt to your body and are bland enough to cause less irritation. Every time you are sick, have some more, because you need to keep replacing that salt. Also, sip your super chilled drinks and chew on ice cubes. I found that drinking normally didn't work.
Try not to get overly warm, as that will not help either. The cooler you are, the better, but don't try and live in the freezer!!!!!!!
I really feel for you Fi. For me, it was very scary and worrying. I also remember almost decking my doctor for saying it was a good sign. Oh, and I would say, you are expecting another little girl!!!!
I saw you answered the q about negative blood groups and needles, and that you too are a negative blood group. Not sure why, but us negative mums (only in blood type of course!!!) seem to suffer more with morning sickness.
