Everytime i see the midwife she asks me about my discharge, eg: what it looks like, is it thick or thin, does it smell.. Whenever i get discharge its white and milky.
Ive been having regular pains for 3days now but today have been alot stronger. Before i bent over and when i got back up and started to walk i felt something warm running down my leg. I went to the toilet and my undies were a little bit wet but i had heaps of that white discharge. It was really thin and white to clear colour. Im sure it wasnt my waters becasue it wasnt clear and looked like the discharge i normally get but lots more and more thin. Since then, (1hr ago) i havnt seen anything else but am having bad back pain and still getting cramps every 15mins.
The day before Ebony was born I was at the shopping center I put my arms up to fix my hair, I felt a pop trickle trickle, when back into the loo and i only had white clear discharge just like you mentioned.
It wasnt till midday the next day till I felt my first contraction.
So to answer your question you are on your way I wouldnt be surprised if you go into labour today or tomorrow.
Good luck and we all look forward to seeing pictures of Ashton.
Hmm definitely call in, and put a pad in to keep your nickers clean, and for them to check. Sounds like amniotic fluid, does it smell like sperm/come? It often does! You better get ready to depart, the risk of infection will mean that they want you in there quick smart. Best wishes to you, the moment you have been waiting for is starting chickee YAY! xox
I hope you have called your midwife by now.. If not, please do. Amniotic fluid smells like a dirty dishrag (this can help to identify it). I didn't notice a mucous plug, my fluid broke a little & contractions didn't start. I decided to have a bath. Not a good idea; once the sac has broken, stuff can get in & it did... After my daughter was born I needed a curette to get rid of the infected material from that error... You are in labour, Hon.
It sounds like you are losing some of your waters. With my last (only time my waters broke outside of hospital) i had a slow leak over about 3 days, but didn't notice as it happened when I used the toilet. Weird huh? lol.
Your discharge will change now, as your vagina is cleaning itself out and prelubricating the way for your little man.
The plug can come away in little bits and pieces, mine is, and this can happen over several weeks. What you are describing sounds like the start of it.
Keep track of the pains you are having. I reckon you will beat me after all, mine has decided she likes her head to the side again! lol.
It sounds like a Hind Break, this is when a small tear occurs and fluid escapes. If you take care you should be fine but please be aware of the amount of fluid. The rease the midwife is asking about the colour and odour is that infections can occur, take care and don't do to much. It happened to me the first pregnancy, mine leaked for over 24 hours and the rest of my water broke in the early hours. I had to be induced because I didn't go in to labour. My daughter was born 3 weeks early.
Don't know Dannii, but it sounds like it could be getting exciting (for us not you!! heehee). I honestly can't remember as I didn't pay that much attention to mine, and didn't even know about a plug etc til I came on here. So just monitor the cramps and if they get stronger or quicker ring the hospital.
it wasnt jelly like danni??? It sounds like ur mucus plug,it tends to either come out in dribs and drabs or in one go...mine feel out on the bathroom mate!! lol.....and then within an hr i started early labour....u could be in early labour sweetie......do a bit of walking around in the house to bring it on a bit.....see what happens!! im excited for u!!!!!!!!!!
Not sure that it sounds like a hind leak, usually it is a small but steadyish flow, might stop and start as you change positions (like sitting to standing etc)....but you would need a pad. This has happened with all three of my labours and each time it was the same. So i would say that if your waters had broken it would be more consistant.
