Re: Watery diarrhea in 15 month old
Hi there, sorry to hear of your dilemma.
It could possibly be that she is teething. Have you noticed any new teeth coming in, specifically in the back molar area. Another possibility could be that she got cold. If it is warm or hot where you live and you are having to run the air conditioners or fans, her stomach may have gotten too cold and this can trigger a little bout of diarrhea. It can even happen to us adults. Also, if she walks and is walking on cold floors, this can trigger it too. I am not sure of how your house is so I just listed up some possibilities. I never had believed this when my mother in law told me and unfortunately I found out the hard way .
Is she taking in enough fluid to replace what she is losing? It's very important to not let her become dehydrated since she is so very little. If it was me, after 2 days, I would take her in to see the doc just to be on the safe side as little ones can dehydrate rather quickly. Again, please note the advice up at the top and see if it helps you a bit. there are these little belly wraps you can get for your child and I will try to find some shops online and email them to you.
Air conditioning is nice but can cause some really unfavorable bowel results if it gets too cold in the house. Hope this helps you out a bit and lets me know how she comes out. Take care. aaliyah xoxo
