Re: STORING PHOTOS ONLINE

I have a seperate hard drive for photos. I also upload all my photos onto Photobucket. That way if anything happens to the HDD (one I had before broke and I lost so many things) they are all still online. I also upload a lot of pictures onto myspace and facebook but I reccomend photo bucket as you can put the pics to your blogs and things from there

Google do a really easy to use programme called Picasa2  I use all the time.   My family use it as so do most of our friends.

Re: STORING PHOTOS ONLINE

I use 3 sites, Minti, Photobucket and Facebook.

Photobucket is great cause you can put all your pics in either 1 folder or little folders and order them. they also generate HTML, IMG and other codes so you can post them on other websites. (havent figured how to do it for Minti)

Facebook is also great but you are limited to 60 photo's a file, so like with my wedding pics i had almost 200 of them i had to put them in 4 folders.

minti is also great, but you have to go through all the pics to find 1

good luck Rue

Re: STORING PHOTOS ONLINE

You could try and create your own website.  Takes time and patience, but is possible.  You will have to pay hosting and domain name fees every year, but not a lot.  I'm trying to get Les to set mine up so I can store photos there.  Makes it easier than having them on minti, especially when I'm trying to add them to a blog and everyone has already seen them! lol.  Kind of defeats the purpose of putting them in the blog.

Re: STORING PHOTOS ONLINE

I tend to use photobucket, or myspace, to store my photos now. I burn everything onto DVD's and keep my 'special pics' on line too...

I have lost photos in the past and it breaks your heart - so hence the online storage. I have kodak online too, but I think photobucket and places like that are easier to use and more so now, quicker than Kodak too...

The uploading to these sites are pretty good too...considering they are free...

Don't go to any expense matey, there are heaps for free sites and ones where you can share with friends and family too....

Take care

OB
