Re: Worried about miscarriage
Hi there,
While any bleeding in pregnancy should be investigated, what you are describing sounds like implant bleeding, which is very common around this stage of pregnancy. Some women experience it, and others don't (I'm on my 5th pregnancy) like me.
I would say the cramping in your back you are getting is due to the hormones loosening your muscles ready for your baby to start doing some serious growing and stretching. This I have had with all mine.
Any time you are concerned about how your pregnancy is going, then please, go and see your doctor or midwife. It is better to be cautious and go home feeling silly than it is to miss a serious problem. Medical staff are paid to look after you.
Most important though, is that you try and keep calm and not stress too much. Stress can be harmful to the baby as it reduces the bodies production and efficiency of use of hormones required to keep the pregnancy going.
