Hi, my gorgeous girl is 16 months old and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of some activites I can do with her as I feel she maybe getting a little bored. We read lots of stories, dance, draw, puppets etc. Also does anyone know of any good sites that recomment activities for the different ages as I searched on google and found nothing.
Oh, just thought I would add that you could try getting her some of the 'boy toys' like cars, trains, play tools etc. Our girls love them just as much as their dolls.
I also have a 16 month old!! She loves her dollies..so we've been feeding them, pushing them in a stoller etc..We go to the park alot and for wagon rides. She loves to play in her baby pool and also loves to "hide" and have me find her..She loves to play with other children as well. We have a Park District near us that hosts an OPen gym for kids 1-5..If you ahve a Park District, they may offer some programs for kids her age.>She loves it and she gets the chance to interact with other kids!!
I have a 5 yr old and an 8 mth old so I have been where you are and I am headed your way. When my daughter was younger we had an activity for every day, some days we had outings, playgroup, swimming and Gymbaroo (excellent, look for one in your area) the other days I would encourage her to help me with household tasks (and I would do the same ones on the same days) So for instance cleaning day was Wed so over breaky we would talk about what we needed to do, she would "help" and I say this very loosely but once we were done she would be happy to play on her own. It may not sound like fun to us but to her it gave structure to her week and we could talk about the following day at bed time.
