My 5 yr old has had a lazy bowel since she became toilet trained.

We have tried parachoc, a mild laxative and even enemas. She still will not pass a motion on the toilet, she soils her pants instead. We ask her if she has been and she doesnt know. She does show she knows when she needs to go, as she will stand and try to prevent this from occuring. We have to take clean knickers and baby wipes where ever we go and we always have to take her to the bathroom. She is at school but rarely uses the school facilities, choosing to wait until she gets home. We are at our wits end and if anyone has this problem in their child, how did you overcome this? What did you do to get them to make the conection and just go???

It sounds to me like she has a 'blockage' in her mind that is telling her it is too hard.  Our 4 year old was the same.  We dealt with it by getting a 'magic toilet seat' and said it was to help her to do a poo on the toilet.  It worked!  She needed the seat for about 2 weeks, and now, it is not being used at all.
