I noticed tonight while i was bathing Austin that he has a strange lump on the side of his neck. It is under the skin and not very big, maybe 7mm wide and it is raised up about 2mm. It is only noticable when he turns his head in the opposite direction. It doesnt seem to hurt and it is not red or anything. But i have never seen anything like it before. Anyone know what it could be???
my partner and i and our son had this. it was a fatty deposit under the skin. It doesnt cause any harm and does not need to be removed however i would say go to your gp and put your mind at ease :)
Kaleb has them too. i found one on one side and took him to the doctor and he said i think now it was ages ago that if it moves around its fine...well i hope thats what he said now i am telling you lol and then another one come up on the other side bigger then the first and he was sick so i mentioned it to another doctor and she said the same its just his glands but if you are worried then yes definatly take him to doc. Take care
my girl has it and it comes up when she cries. Very normal, but of course if it grows or irritates make sure you get it checked out. in saying that next time your at the doc wont hurt to hear it from him anyway xxx
hey, firstly if ur worried go to the dr ok,i only say this as i was worried for nearly 4mths with myah after finding a lump on the back of her head as she turned the opposite way one night while i was holding her and found a lump. Its only small as well, when i went to the dr he said that babies and toddlers can have their glands a little risen under the skin and not to worry, sometimes they dont go down either.....so i hopet his helps...keep and eye on it and if ur worried get to ur dr.....
Thanks for your reply. If it gets any bigger or anything i will take him. I'm not worried yet, just curious and i cant seem to find any info online (that makes any sense to me anyway) about what could cause it. So thanks for your answer, i never knew that!
