Here is the story I had my daughter about 6 weeks ago and made an appointment to get and IUD this coming Tuesday and I just recived a call from my doctors office and they told me they contacted my Insurance office and my insuranc doesnt cover Birthcontrole not even the pill. So what am  I supposed to do now? Where can I go to get something???? I am so mad you would think they would rather pay for the pill then another baby and my husband I dont even know if we want another child. How stupid is this and who would I need to talk to to bitch about this?

Re: Birth conrole

Quite a few birth control pills are generically available, meaning if you have a prescription you can get them for as low as $15 at some pharmacies. I also looked at the Walmart website and they offer generic Ortho-Cyclen and Ortho Tri-Cyclen for $9 per month. If you still can't afford it, contact your local Planned Parenthood center, or go online to plannedparenthood.org. They will give you options of birth control and might help you pay for it. I hope that is helpful.

I don't know how it works in the States, but here in Aus we have to pay for ours. I know I paid for mine when I got it last year.
