Re: To many bottles!

Hi,

You could start by decreasing the amount of milk you give in each bottle then giving water and doing the same.

Make sure that he has enough to eat at dinner time.  I give dinner at about 5.30pm then give a bottle at bed time.  I give a bottle at about 7.15 after he has had a bath etc...

Maybe give a roll over feed when you go to bed at about 10.30pm.  Just gently pick him up without waking and give the bottle.

He may be waking out of habbit so try and settle him.  We give dummy and teddy and make sure the blankets are on.  This is his Que to go back to sleep.

good luck with it all.   I am not one for controlled crying but a lot of people swear by it.

Controlled crying works it is hard on boht mum and bubs... but you could just let him do it for 6 hours if that is all you want him to sleep for a night.

What you do is the 1st night say put him to bed say bout 5pm or 6pm and then get him up bout 10pm offer another bottle put him back to bed let him cry til bout 5am next night do the same thing and just repeat this after a few nights he will self settle on the later feed and it will allow you to get some sleep reliably.
