My son won't accept his sleeping toy off of anyone else.

Hey,

My son goes to sleep with a little grey bunny at night and won't sleep unless he has it with him. This is fine, but the problem is he will not accept it off of anyone else except me.

He will not accept it off of his dad even, How can I get him to accept it off of other people? Rhis is due to the fact i don't want to get up to him an extra 2 nights just to give him his bunny because he has lost it and woke up and cant find it.

It might be you give it back to him in a special way, so anyone else who gives it to him needs to do the same.

Other than that, I don't know.  Still trying to work out why on earth my 14 month old only wants Daddy when she is tired! lol

This is just my opinion ok......

I would take the bunny away all together. It only makes life harder for you when your child has an attachment to an object like a blankie or teddy. its nice to have a teddy / bunny to go to bed with but thwn they have to have it everytime and the whole time it becomes like an obsession.

You could try explaining to him that bunny is gone maybe..

if u dont want to take the bunny away then thats fine also, maybe get ur partner to make it fun when he gives it to him, like he could talk for the bunny (like a puppet) or play peekaboo with it with your son?

good luck either way

the hole reason he takes bunny to bed is because i tried taking it off of him a few weeks ago but he saw it since and now he is scared im going to take it again.

As to the 2nd part he does make it fun the only problem is our son just chuck it on him then chucks a tantrum. Then if he doesnt get it bak he screams the whole night.
