Itchy Eyes and Face
Codi (3 yrls old, nearly 4) has very sensitive skin and drys out easily, so we don't use soap products, and use QV body wash instead.
However currently he is getting very itchy eyes and the skin around the eyes.
Have you experienced this? What do you suggest?
He continually rubs his eyes and face, and it is all red and swollen.
We are currently giving him children's claratin and applying QV skin lotion and it is definitely helping but it is not wiping it out completely.
Note: I think it has to do with the change of seasons to Winter and/or flying as it happened when we flew to the US the first time from summer to winter and also we recently flew to warmer weather and have now just flown back to a very wintery Perth.
Hope to get some help :)

Re: Itchy Eyes and Face
Hi Clay,
I have had excellent results with camomile tea. Both my children have had conjunctivitis on two occasions. At the first sign, I just boiled up some water, poured it over two organic camomile tea bags and then when cooled, but still a little warm, used the tea bag to wash the eye area. Spend about five minutes gently washing the area, letting the water flood the area. Do this twice a day and he will be fine.
I also used to buy bulk quantities of the flowers from a health food shop, brew a cup of flowers in 2 cups of water, let stand for 10mins then strain the flowers reserving the liquid for their bath. My son had only very mild eczema and I believe that it didn't get any worse because of this treatment. I also only washed my children with almond oil. Sounds a bit weird but it works wonders. I just put a little on a face washer, smooshed it around and then washed them.
Hope this helps, E :)
