Just a quick question to all mum's & dad's that are using Huggies nappies.
Is it just me or are the NEW and improved Huggies nappies really bad!
I have always used Huggies on my son (i have sampled a few other brands but he always leaked in them or got a rash) I loved the Huggies!
But they have now changed the nappies and to me they feel really thin and the new wetness linner doesn't hold anywhere near as much as the old style did! I have had the new style for 3 days now and every morning i get Rylan up he has leaked which NEVER happened with the old ones.
I stopped using huggies about 2 years ago because even back then Grub would leak through them. And I think that it was after one thier "improvements" as well!
I emailed then telling them how dissapointed I was with the product, especially since I had purchased a jumbo box of thier terribly inadequte product and they contacted me back asking for the batch lot of the packaging and next thing I knew I had a replacement pack at the post office. Still useless at containing the pee, but were there for emergency use only or used with a nappy mate in order to contain the fluid.
It was then that I was given some of the aldis mamia nappies to try from a friend and have never looked back.
It seems that everytime huggies advertise that they have "improved" thier product, it has actually declined in quality and does not do what it is advertised to do.
Funny this q is here as it was only a few daysa go i brought my daughter huggies pull ups we usually buy pampers butthey didnt have any she must of only had 1 or 2 wee's and it was dripping there was no way it would have lasted her the night i had tosend my partner to the supermarket to get ome pampers ones i still have the huggies ones for emergency LOL
hey!! I also have had this problem. My daughter never wets through during the night but i bought the new and improved 2 days ago and she has wet through for the last 2 nights!! Im not happy with this either, did you get an email back from them??? I think they feel rougher on her little bottom,i know its not her size as she didnt have a problem with the same size the day before...let me know how you go on
I have recently purchased the new huggies and my daughter ella 2 and a half wore them last nite not a problem. Although i did notice a difference in the thickness of them. Although the wetness liner managed to hold her wees last nite will try again and see what happens.
I can't say I've ever had a problem with Huggies diapers.. I've had my daughter in them from day one.. Now if you leave your baby in a soaking diaper that they keep peeing in of course it's going to leak out what diaper wouldn't? Especially if its REALLY full.. I mean like to the point where its sagging!! (which is nasty lol)
I think I had a few leaks BUT I went up a size and then there were no leaks :)
I have used Huggies from day one with my son also and they are usually fantastic! We definatly don't need to go up a size as he is in the walker size which is 13 to 18kg rang and Ry is 14.5kgs, they fit well.
Ry is never ever left in a wet nappy, even if its slightly damp he is changed so that isn't the issue at all ! My issue with the New Huggies is the night leakage! I'm not going to wake him every 2 hours to change his nappy once he goes down for the night, their really shouldn't be a need to do that during the night for a 19month old who sleeps thru the night. The new Huggies just don't do the job that they claim to.
My little one is changed like every 2hrs cos he pees and poos alot but he still soaks through. It may not be the nappies and just that he ahs little chciken legs, but they are the smallest size.
Well i might have to go get the aldi brand cos i tried baby love and they didnt work so since ive been home ive been using huggies and last night Ashton soaked through 5times, im putting the nappies on correct ts just those stupid side leakage barriers dont work.
We gave up on the Huggies brand a little while ago. Now, we use the Aldi brand, and they are 100 times better. No leaks, even though they aren't as heavily padded, and they stay done up as well, especially the pull up pants.
I stopped using Huggies at night a few months ago as Hudson was waking up wet as well. I found PAMPERS on the Save our Sleep website. They are expensive, but so worth it. I only use them at night so one package lasts a month - I use Huggies before naps and BabyLove the rest of the time.
I personally like the new Huggies but it is more the design than the absorbancy issue. I feel they fit a bit better.
I found that my son always leaked with the Huggies nappies, actually he leaked out of every disposable except the Aldi Mamia brand, but i ended up putting him in cloth nappies...
I would call them and complain, they may send you another packet or refund your money.
That sucks Donna, I haven't tried them, however I would be getting in touch with them and telling them how you feel. Often when companies have 'new, improved' products, it is just a way for them to scrimp on materials/manufacturing/amount in package etc. and make extra money without seeming to be charging their customers more.
