I had my tubes tied but m periods seemed to get heavier after having it done and so I had to go on the pill to help control the heavy bleeding,I would check on this first before having it done.Good Luck.

One thing I will say is that you need to make sure your tubes are CUT and tied...I have a friend that had 3 boys & decided she didn't want anymore children, she had her tubes tied only & went back to work....now she has a baby girl!

My husband got "fixed" I just wanted to say something my doctor said to me reassuring me about my decision.  He said you will always wonder.  He said that if you have three kids you will wonder what it would be like to have only two, and if you have two you would wonder what it would be like to have three.....

I thought this advice was great.  Not regretting my decision 3 years after the fact.  Sex life improved without the chemical contraception on my part and the confidence that I can't get pregnant anymore.
