Re: miscarraige

Hi, I am sorry about your miscarraige.  I had two of them and the first one I was 3mos along, I had a D@C done because I was so far along they said that I would not be able to pass it on my own.  The other one I was 9 weeks and I was bleeding, that is how I knew I was having a miscarraige,  I got it confrimed and I passed it that night.  I bleed alot it is not like a period it is worse well for me it was.  I passed the sack near the end and it looks like a egg yolk. after that I bleed for about two days and it did get lighter.  Hope this helps.  Debbie

Re: miscarraige

I am so very sorry. I have miscarried several times and experienced what the ladies have talked about.  I just really hope you have a way to talk your feelings through. I just pushed them to the back of my mind and went on. I think you need to talk about it.  I lost early  and much later but you still feel for what might have been. I wish you the best.

Re: miscarraige

Firstly, I am sorry you have to go through this, A very sad time in tour life!

I recently had a misscarriage  I had been bleeding for quiet some time and each doctor just passed the buck to the next one to deal with it, several blood tests and ultrasounds confirmed it was a definate misscarriage. As I had already been through so much I decided to have a D & C. The day I was booked in I had intense pains just like labour. While in hospital  I had passed a tennis ball sized clot and the pain was compared to that of labour for me, because that effectively is what it is. The pain was that intense (as I was in hospital) I was given pethidine. I still don't know if the clot was just pooled blood or part of the conception. I was still put in for a d&c and bleed for 11 days afterwards. Which was just like a normal period but longer!

Once again I am sorry for your loss, please take the time to grieve and talk it over with who ever you may need or want to talk to, and know we are all here for you too.

Re: miscarraige

Oh sweetie, I went through this.  I was told after spotting and an ultrasound that I would miscarry.  I was told the next day that I may still be pregnant just less pregnant than I thought I was <5 weeks.  I suffered cramping and dried blood bleeding for a couple of days, at the brink of screaming I had another ultrasound confirming that I was going to miscarry as the sack was not smooth, so it was definite.

I passed something the size of an egg two days after the second ultra sound, but I actually laboured through the process.  I don't want to scare you.  I wished I had have had some stronger pain medication.  After I passed "the products of conception" I had a very heavy period for about 4-5 days.

The good news is that I went on to get pregnant straight away.  Although I don't recommend it, as I suffered a lot of side affects from the strain on my body, but still I got pregnant and now have two beautiful boys.

I think the turning point for me between waiting and miscarriage was knowing for sure that I had lost the baby, and so my body let go.

I actually went shopping the day I started bleeding heavily.  I went to the doctors the next day because of the pain, and then to the hospital where I passed the big bit in the toilet.

I don't know if any of this helps, or scares you more, I know plenty of people who have miscarried and have not had a sizable clot, or much pain, just a heavy period.

I am just sharing my experience in the hope it helps.

Jodi

Re: miscarraige

Hi.

First may I say that I am sorry to hear of your sad news, I myself have never miscarried so unfortunately I can't comment on what might happen all I can advice is seeing your GP. I am however surprised that whoever discovered that your baby had stopped growing did not give advice or refer you to someone who could.

Again my heart felt sympathy goes out to you.

((((Hugs))))
