Re: should i be worrying myself sick??
I agree,
please don't worry yourself sick..I have also worried myself sick in the past too though, so I know what you are going through..
Toddlers at this age, can eat less than what you think would satisfy an ant, even when they are not feeling sick!
If your little one is sick and teething, the lack of appetite + the teething pain are likely the culprit..
As long as she is getting some fluids and doesn't have a fever, isn't lethargic or doesn't have any other serious signs, whe will come around!
My 17 month old LOVES sugar free popsicles!!
I don;t know if you are interested in trying these, but the pros are that they may numb the teething pain and will get some fluid into her!
Good luck and I hope your little one feels better!

Re: should i be worrying myself sick??
Hi Na,
Honestly, I went through the exact same thing as you, just a few months ago!
Alisha (as you know, is 14 months now), and was teething really badly..
For a couple months, she would eat hardly anything for each feed..
Basically, it'd be a couple teaspoons each feed.. and I feed her 5 times a day (3 main meals, 2 snacks)..
I got so worried that I booked in an appointment with the Child Health Nurse..
And she assured me that things would be fine..
I told her that I was scared it wasn't the teething, because it lasted so long..
But in the end, it WAS the teething !!
Her eating picked up, and she was back to eating normal meals..
However, she has gone back to it (not as bad as before though), and most days, she'll hardly eat a thing..
Like, for breakfast, she'll have a few teaspoons of Weet Bix, but she'll want her milk FIRST.. hehe
Sometimes, she might not want much for lunch, but she kinda makes up for it at dinner (but just)..
I guess my point is, I am the the biggest worrywart around (trust me. lol)...
But right now, I'm not too worried about Alisha..
And the main reason is because the Child Health Nurse put my mind at ease..
While they're teething, it's a hard period for our kid, it's a hard period for us..
But it ALWAYS eventually picks up..
And like my Child Health Nurse said, all you can really do is, when they DO want the food, to give it to them the best you can..
Basically, if Myah seems to be taking the food well, keep going, feed her till she's full... Take advantage of her hunger!! hehe
I'm so sorry to hear that Myah is so unwell.. I do hope her teething goes away soon..
But I think that Myah will be back to her normal self, in no time !!!!!
Just like my little Alisha will be ok, in no time as well !!!! :)
If ya ever need me, you've got my shoulder to cry on !! :) hehe
I hope I helped, a little at least :(
Love ya hun,
Thuy xoxoxox
