Crafty mums

My mum is helping me make a comforter/quilt for my 3yo to match in with the rest of the bedroom set we bought the two boys who share a room.  It has surfboards on it (matches with the Sheridan junior range they bought out a few years ago).  Well I am cheap and didn't want to go out and buy the sheridan comforter but I want the same affect, problem is I don't know how to get the bulk.  I am sure there are 100 places to ask, but as I am in the country I get most of my supplies online.

So, looking at batting, it is thin.  I want a comforter affect, similar to that which Sheridan Junior puts out each season.  Does anyone know how I achieve this and whether it can be purchased online??

Re: Crafty mums

Ok, so I have only just worked out what mm is:) lol

I shall do that as soon as I have the chance, but there is no squares, it is one large peice of fabric, I have the three surfboards attached with blanket stitch on a navy blue fabric with batting in between to make them stand out.  I am now looking for bulk to go between the navy fabric and the backing fabric.

I will mm you once I have the photos etc.
