custard.

hi, just a quick question, i want to make some sort of custard for my 5 month old daughter is there any suggestions? or is it best to buy from jar?

buy a pack of ground rice powder (or if u have muscles use a pestle and mortor and grind your own, then cook it with either milk or water.  You can then add fruit or vegies to it to flavour it if you want to.

or get custard powder.

or use cornflour sugar milk and vanilla

either way its alot cheaper to make your own

and there are lots of recipes on the net for baby food - quick and easy :)

Hi there,

Personally I don't buy any baby food as I prefer to make my own so that way I know there are no presertavies etc . . you can make custard normally but substitue cows milk for either breat milk or formula . . I have done it with both and my children loved it . . .

If you prefer not to use breast milk then you can purchase a sachet of formula from your local supermaket, either that or use rice or soy milk . . .
