To see Kung Fu Panda? My guests wish to take the kids to see Kung Fu Panda, this was mentioned in front of my 3yr old, she has asked to go too, they are taking their 4yr old. Has anyone been, is it suitable? Thoughts Please.
i have always been very strict with movies but chloes 6 now so i wasnt overly worried, she really liked it and from what i watched i didnt see it as much more violent than most disney movies like aladin or lion king?
id stick with your gut on it though hun you know your child best and if you think it woudl upset her hold off until shes older.....
we havent taken skye to see this yet but she has been to the cinema before when she was two and a half and my SIL said she was so well behaved it was untrue i think she should be able to go we wish to take skye and its rated pg so i cant see it being a problem for little ones!!!
Thankyou, thankyou, the decision was taken not to let Caty or the four year old to go, I took them to the indoor centre instead. The older kids felt it was'nt right for Caty, turns out they were intuitive, and I will take Caty another day when the Kid's Club has something less fighty. The play centre was fun and the young ones did,nt feel left out.
I have a 9 month old so naturally seeing this movie is not an option. However I thought I would comment because through my web surfing I have found a wonderful site that everyone should know about. www.kids-in-mind.com They take movies both new and old and list exactly whats in them as far was what gives the movie the rating it has. Very Nice!
Hi Winnie. My 3 year old watched it today (we have it here, shhhh LOL) and he was fine...I think he got a bit bored at some stages but he liked the characters. The story isn't really for small kids to understand but they like the animation.
We saw it June/July holidays and my three year old came...he's 4 in a few weeks though. I asked him if he thought it was scary at all and he said no....there is one bit in it where the snow leopard is chained up and looks mean, it could be frightening but he didn't think so. Depends on her i guess, my little guy has an older brother and tries to keep up to, and seems a bit older for his age.
Sorry - haven't seen it - my 5 y/o went with family and loved it, but I kept my 2 y/o at home as she can't stand movies - with all the noise and sitting still that long she thinks it is torture and screams. Sorry can't help more...
i know young children who have seen the movie.....they may not get the story line but they like to look at the images on the screen......its also quite fun to go with young ones to the movies.....even if they do get bored......i think thats just the way young kids are.....its a good family movie. :)
I have a few friends that have taken young children to see this and said that it some parts it can be a bit slow and the story quite detailed, so it depends on whether the 3 year old might get bored. If you think this may be the case then I know that some cinemas run a kids club at the weekends (usually in the mornings) where young children can go and as the cinema is full of little ones you feel more at ease if they decide to chat all the way through it.
I have left a link for the Odeon kids club so you an get a rough idea of what he kids club does, of course it depends on what cinema you have in your area.
