Has anyone heard of this? I got told that if you measure your child at age 2, and double it, that is how tall they will be as adults..............
It then raises the question of when at 2. as soon as they turn 2 or anytime - they do keep growing!
I'm confused, fact or fiction???
I have heard of this to, but i don't know how true it is. I guess do the measurements and wait and see. Roughly you stop growing (or developing) at the age of 21 years.
I suppose you could measure her at the start of 2 years, in the middle and near the end and then see what happens!
Well I did measure at age 2 and if it is right my son would be nearly 2m tall so I thought it was probably not true though he is 17 now and 185cm so who knows. Have you noticed that our childrens generation are getting so tall. Could be that they are so well fed now so there would be other factors to consider like diet etc. You do raise a good question though as 12 months is a long time so it's one of those things to just do for fun.
Well, I have heard the same thing and I'm hoping for my sake my son isn't any taller than it predicts he will be! When he turned 2yo, he was 89.6cm tall so that would make him 179.2cm tall. He's now 3.5yo and whilst I haven't measured him for a while, I am 155cm and his head reaches the point where the two sides of my rib cage meet!
I can't say for certain BUT I would think that this is purely fiction as my eldest Samanatha is tripple her height that she was at age two . . . My 9 yr old is already double that height . . .
Mind you I had to pull out their baby books just to check . . . If sumara only doubles her height then she would only be 180cm tall, personally with her long legs I doubt that . ..
Kellz did you make a mistake here? I dont think many people say 'only' 180cm tall.
My friend is that and she is a giant next to me.
I like the idea of it though, I am going to try and measure miss Caitlin and see how tall she is.
