Re: HELP

Yes lm going through that as well, Dean seems to love his fingers more than his chew toys....he is always choking on his fingers cos there to far down his throat.....l even saw him trying to get his whole hand in as well. They do grow out of it but its usually after they bite themselves a few times, when they get teeth. Until then he will keep having a good chew.

Re: HELP

My son is a great finger chewer! LOL   Usually when he needs to burp after a bottle he will stick his fingers down his throat to make himself burp.   I try all the burping techniques, but usually now at 14mths he just wants to jump off my lap and play.

He could be teething and that is why he is chewing on his fingers.  Something cold helps.  He will eventually grow out of it.

Re: HELP

Nothing like a good finger chew lol, yes its normal I used to freak out with my first and he would stick his hand down his throat and nearly choke....  It's just all a part of discovery, I used to gently take his hand away and give him back his toy, not that it worked but he soon grew out of it xx

Re: HELP

yep sounds to me like discovery.  if you think about it children don't have a good means to discover the insides of their mouths except for fingers and toes.  they can't see in that funny hole they found on their face so they try to see what's in there.  yes then teething happens and they feel weird when teeth push through.
