HMM..

Will your little one eat cheese, mashed potatoes, lunchmeat etc..?

You could always try put any food in a food proocessor/blender to make it a little less chunky..that may help..

I don't have any great recipes, but have found out great information through googling "toddler meal ideas" etc

Good luck!

If your daughter has serious problems with chunks then it might be worth getting professional advice, in case it is due to an oral aversion (eg as a legacy of reflux or other issues earlier).

If she's just fussy, like mine is, then I sympathise! It does get very frustrating at times. Some foods that may help her come to grips with non-mushy food include things that "melt in the mouth" like Cruskits and prawn crackers.

A friend of mine swears by the book "The Fussy Eater's Recipe Book" by Annabel Karmel.

Re: some help with toddler food!!!

Hi< I really struggled to get my cherub used to" chunky" food. I ended up pureeing everything! That way she ate fruit, veg, meat, anything! I then started to slowly puree it less over time. It was still fairly mushy, but more chunky. I encouraged her with finger foods- toast with avocado spread on it, cooked fruit chunks, Cooked pasta pieces etc. Some cherubs take longer than others, but do persist with the fruit and veg, they will eventually eat it! To save waste, I used to freeze stuff in small amounts. If they hate it one day, they may love it the next and vice versa! My favourite was a casserole- I used veal or heart smart beef, reduced salt beef stock, garlic, a tin of tomatoes, 2 potatoes, a sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower, ( any other veg in the fridge!) make up the casserole, then in the last 15 mins, toss in some rissoni or pasta. Hubby and I would have it as is, I would then puree or mash for the cherub! i would freeze portions for the cherub. The other thing that seemed to inspire her was some food competition... Other kids around her age hooking into the fruit, cheese, crackers etc... that was put out. She would suddenly take an interest and eat ! Amazing!Good luck! There is also a good book for toddler food by Womens Weekly...I found it at the supermarket!
