Re: Pregnancy is a pain in the back...

I got a gym ball for my backache, and it was the best relief ever!!!!  I sat on it and rocked, or I hung myself over it like a towel and rocked.  I had some nice comfy pillows under my knees so that they didn't get too sore.

Heat, while it was being applied, did work too, but as soon as I took it away, the aching was back again within minutes.

You can take paracetamol to help to ease the pain as well, but stick to the recommended dosage and don't exceed more than 8 tablest in 24 hours.

I am just over 6 months pregnant so can emphasise with you, I find a nice warm bath helps and then a massage, I have a willing volunteer in my hubby.

Maybe you could also try some prenatal yoga to help strengthen  your posture.

i suffered bad back achesreally bad. i found out that it was just where bub was sleeping. try hot packs or get you rpartner to massage it for you,  also try sleeping differently ( i know its hard when preg) see how that goes.  just avoid to harsh exercising as it will make it worse.

start swimming, or get your dr to refer you to a physio.

I have been lucky that in this pregnancy I have only had mild back ache. I find baths are the best thing. Or try wheatbags. Just some heat applied t the area may relieve the ache.
