Not even close to a parenting question

I'm sorry, this is not a parenting qu... But am in desperate need of advice... My partner and i had a bit (BIG)  of a run in a couple of weeks ago, it was the best thing that could have happened to us. It has helped us emensly, unbelivably  (just to go off track a little, it was a bit of a shock to both of us as we never argue, but occasionally diasagree- as we all do) ... for a long time i have known that we are perfect for each other, get along very well and have everything that a relationship needs to work...

We have been talking about marriage but i think that i want to propose to him... Im totally terrified and i'm looking for any advice that people can give me on how to do this, (maybe if any other ladies have ever done it)... as i said, we did have a bit of a run in not long ago, but for both of us, it has just made us realise how lucky we are to hav each other and just how perfect that things are

Thanks in advance to any advice towards my crazy qu.

Re: Not even close to a parenting question

My partner and I have been together for 7 and 1/2 years, and we have been talking about marriage from the start.  Always seems that our money has to be redirected to more important things though.

Good luck with it, and maybe try having a nice romantic night and asking him when he would like to get married.  Men aren't like women, so keeping it more casual might do the trick.

Re: Not even close to a parenting question

It IS a parenting question actually.  The very first one!!  Who we choose as a mate and future father of our children matters immensely!!  While I am a little old fashioned and wouldn't propose myself, I would have gone so far as to say, "You know, if you were to ask me to marry you, I would say yes..."

Good luck!!
