Re: jet lag

The way I did it was stay awake until you get. A little harder on the kiddies, but if they don't like to sleep much anyway it works....

I also found that the jet lag was worse when I got to Australia then it was coming back to Canada...  But if you can prolong sleep before you get on the air plane it worked out much better for me.   My son had an issue with sleep so I used that and kept him awake as long as possible so when he was on the plane he slept more... And when he got home (Back to Canada) he was practically back in sink with the time difference...

Have fun when you get here...

Re: jet lag

If you have the chance to change his sleep pattern a bit , put him to bed later in the evening, would make things easier on him.. Maybe not so much on you sorry..:)

Good luck...

My son was 18 months when we took him to Australia..

Re: jet lag

This is a tough one. How long will you be in Canada for? If you'll be there a while, you can change the schedule gradually before you get there and before you go back home. But no matter how you look at it, a complete night and day change is going to be tough.  But I guess you can start putting your child to be later and waking up later  (or later and waking later) and of course this would mean shorter naps.

Also, it may turn out not to be as hard....hopefully. Babies are sensitive to sunlight so when you get there  your baby may just naturally sleep longer at night and short during the day.  Good luck!
