I need some ideas

I have my cousins daughters 1st birthday on Saturday. I have no clue at all what to get her. Does anyone have any ideas what a 1 year old girl would be interested in? She isnt walking on her own yet.

Re: I need some ideas

My friends daughter is one this weekend too, and I got for her the Crayola Beginnings creativity central. It's like a paint mat (without the mess) with shape makers and other stuff. Actually it's cooler and has heaps more stuff to do than I originally thought. I got it from target and from memory it was about $25, but that was when the toy sale was on.

Those flip out sofas are always a winner. Books, dolls, blocks, puzzles, clothes. Just think pink LOL

My son got a few things like a dog that sings all dif songs and occasionally goes "I love you" or "I like hugs" my boy loves it, you could also try an animal backpack/leash, I know u said she isnt walking by herself yet but we put it on my boy before he started walking and he loved trying to talk to it over his shoulders, and when they start walking u just attach the leash bit so they dont go to far away. Or maybe an Animal train, they can push it or u can set the motion on and they can chase it while it sings.

other than that all ive got is suggestions other ppl have already put pn here.

Re: I need some ideas

I will just tell ya a few of the things that Austin got that he loves!!

Those wooden puzzles, he has had a load of fun tossing the pieces around, cant quite use it properly yet, but still loves it.

Books and clothes are always good.

He also got a couple of those ride on car / walker things which he LOVES!!

Other than that, for a girl, maybe get her a little doll, or teddy bear. Anything Dora seems to be a winner these days too.

Re: I need some ideas

Some nice board books will grow with her through the next year. Or you could be really mean to mum & dad and get something that beeps and has flashing lights, eg a Shape-sorter! Make sure to get a toy with volume control, off switch & nice music, oh and dont forget to supply plenty of batteries - and preferably install a set before you wrap it - 1 year olds arent great at waiting for toys to be set up for them! Alternatively, make yourself popular with your cousin and buy a load of rechargeable batteries in various sizes and a charger, so that they can keep everyone elses gifts working!

Jade runs up to it and dives on to her couch, she also like to throw her soft cat onto the couch before running at it, but i like her asleep on it through the day, oh kids are cute
