Re: How much does it cost to have a baby these days (with insurance)?
Hmm thats interesting how you put having a baby sounds almost like purchasing a car. lol. But anyways every baby is going to be different.
I breastfed my son for 9 months, and for the last month or so of feeding i had to supplement. Then he was full on formula until about 14 months old. My son was lactose intolerant so I had to use the special more expensive kind which i believe costed close to $25.00 - $30.00 and that was using the canned powdered stuff.
Diapers were always about $40.00 using pampers but remember it will always cost the same, only you recieve less diapers the bigger size you go.
Then jarred baby food PC brand was about 69 cents a jar. I always had about 30 jars so .69x30.
Pablem costed me about $4.00-$5.00
My son grew really fast for the first 12 months so at least every 2 1/2 months I had to buy a new wardorbe for him. When he was 2 months old he went from 6 mo clothing to 9 mo clothing in one month.
My son had some early medical issues that included asthma, so I have to buy inhalers each month. $80.00/mo
Plus tons of other infections each month.
If he or she has gas then you'll buy stuff for that which costs under $10.00. Or you can get this all natural stuff that costs $20.00
plus all his furniture and others costed well over $1000.00 prolly closer to $2000.00
I dont have insurance so I don't know.
Then if you plan to put your child in daycare that'll depend on the daycare how much that'll cost.
if you have a boy and plan to circumsize him that costed me $200.00
Now that my son doesnt eat any kind of baby food I prolly spend about $50-$75 possibly even more on him each month to eat healthy.
Im trying to potty train to get advice on potty training so hopefully i wont have to spend money on diapers.
