One Confused Mamma!!!

Okay. Don't know how I'm gonna word this yet, so I'll just start from the beginning. I have two kids - a 2yr old and a 10month old. For a while now I've been of the opinion "Yes, we're going to eventually have a third, but not until #2 is at least another year older and #1 is toilet trained!". However, I have found myself starting to reconsider that thought lol. The reason being that every one around me seems to be pregnant!!!!!! Now I'm starting to miss the feeling of being pregnant and all the excitment that goes with it . I don't really know what I'm asking you guys to do - except HELP!!!!!!!

Re: One Confused Mamma!!!

I had my six as back-to-back as was possible (ie, no birth control).  I can say that although at times it was difficult, I found that life after 3 is much easier than life with only two.  And it only got easier with subsequent babies.  If you are considering just letting nature take it's course, it worked fine for me.  I didn't want to wait, either!

Re: One Confused Mamma!!!

I can tell you now that having only recently had my 5th baby, I am already super clucky, which could get me into trouble again! lol.

You plan on having another one in the future, but not until your oldest is toilet trained and your youngest is a bit older.  Well, that's all well and good that you have made these plans, but nature doesn't understand them or obey them.

Being pregnant is a great feeling, so special having that little life growing inside of you, but I'm sure there were parts of it that really got to you.  For me, it was the chronic morning sickenss for the first 6 months.  You could remind yourself of these not so nice things.

Realistically, it is instinct to want more and now, if you are clucky.  Practically, well, that depneds on your family situation.

Re: One Confused Mamma!!!

Hi Anon,

I know how you feel, my partner and I are planing to fall next year, but I have been surrounded by ladies who are either just fell pregnant or are well into their pregnancy. I too get really clucky and start to think what if we have one a bit earlier etc etc.

Just think about your reasons to wait and if you still feel very strong about them just keep reminding yourself those reasons and stick to it.

There are reasons why you both want to wait and they are very good reasons too, so i would suggest to keep reminding yourself of them.

Another thing I also say to my partner and he says to me as well. "if it happens earlier then it happens earlier we will have to find a way to cope"

Not that we are trying right now but things do happen ??? and i believe they happen for a reason.

Anyway stay focused and you will soon be expecting when you are both ready.

Take care
