bad cook needs help.

My daughter is 9 months old now and has been spoiled by her dad giving her indian dishes, stir fry, casserole and diffrent yummy things. Now she doesnt want to eat my cooking which is ussally mixed veg without any added flavour (salt/garlic etc). I was wanting to no what good baby recipes i could cook up and freeze that are a bit more adventures(leave in mind i am a shocking cook) any recipes or related web sites would be great help.
Alos, i am in queensland so anything that is in season and on a budget would be good.
Thank in all.

Re: bad cook needs help.

Hi, I make jade pea and ham soup.I would pick out the ham for your 9mths, depends if she has teeth.

1X pk of split peas- (soak covered in water over night), 4X carrots, 1Xonion,1Xhock (buy from deli or butchers)

1-After soaking peas drain and rinse, throw in lrg pot. 2- chop onion carrots throw in the pot  3- put hock in pot 4-cover with water and boil for about 1hour, stir on and off. 5-pull out hock, meat should come off easyish, dice meat throw fatty part, put meat back into pot, 6-cook for anothe 20mins. DONE

If soup gets to thick add more water, this is freezable. When you reheat add a bit more water. EASY YUMMY

hope you enjoy

Plus there is a site for bubbas food and spices to see what bub can eat at what age www.wholesomebabyfood.com

Re: bad cook needs help.

Hi

Do you belong to your local library???  They have all sorts of books about cooking for your baby and recipes.  You can then photocopy the recipes that you find easy and that your baby enjoys.

Try doing spag bolanese.(SP)  Fry some mince meat, onion and carrot then add a tin of tomatoes.  cook up some pasta and poor the sauce on top and add lots of grated cheese.   You can by pasta for babies in the baby section of the supermarket.

Hope this helps.
