Stubbon chest infections

My 3yo had bronchiolitis as a baby she has suffered alot with chest infections in the winter. The problem now is that she has a chesty cough that comes and goes..

It will come and then as she gets really bad i have decided to take her to the doctors it goes. No runny nose no cold but just a barking chest cough for a few days and then clears up by its self .

My question is.... is this normal after having Bronchiolitis as a baby or should i get her checked out????

Thanks Tee

Early pregnacy bleeding

I just found out im Pregnant with baby #2 and very excited.  However last week I had some spotting.. Is it possible I could have had a miscarriage? The doctor says light bleeding happens to a lot of women and they healthly babies but I have had none of the symptoms I had with my first pregnancy.

My son wants to touch every thing .

My son is 20 months. He can't set in one place . He wants to touch every thing.

for example, if I take him to my mum's house he touches the vases, hits the tv  by hand , takes anything placed on the table. I asked him to play with some toys i bought but he wanted to try new things in mum's house.

2nd problem,  When I visit my sister's home my son wants to play in his cousion's toys . But the cousin (2 yrs) doesn't want to . So they fight or hit each other. I tried bringing his own toys but nothing change. They would fight.

I'd like to hear what you think of this ?

thanks

Who Has 'Weird' Pregnancy Symptoms?

Does anyone else have any stories about their 'weird' pregnancy symptoms?
~ You know, the ones you never get told about
I for one get REALLY itchy feet! I have to go outside & rub them on the concrete for 10 minutes...
I also have a 'mole' on my stomach under my right bra line, It's usually a nice browny colour, when I'm pregnant, it goes pink. ~ That's always the first give away, even before my first missed period!!!!

hearing loss

Okay so here is my question!  My husband and I found out our daughter has some hearing loss that may end up to complete hearing loss.  When we went to her school to speak to her teacher about how she needs to make sure our daughter heard her properly and to be patient with her until we figure out whats going on she was not only rude but put blame on us.  That morning our daughter was sent with a note and we made plans to speak to her in person after school, well during the school day my daughter was sent to the nurse to get a hearing test without our permission,  then they shrugged it off as her not paying attention and us placing this in her head even after her doctor faxed papers to the school stating that special accomidations for her is needed until problem can be resolved!  Today my daughter came home crying cause she got a F on a paper for not doing it correctly, when I asked her why she did it wrong she said her teacher wouldn't repeat herself and she did not hear her.  How can I get this to stop before my hands go around thier necks?

Food refusal.

My four year old son has high functioning autism and he refuses to eat certain foods! Anything that is soft or mushy, like mashed potatoes or steamed veggies, is greeted with a YUCK! The only foods he accepts are chicken nuggets, home-made crumbed chicken(sometimes!), raw carrots, weetbix and cocopops. He did at one point like toasted sandwiches but now he will only eat toast with vegemite. As far as drinking goes, he will only drink cordial.

I am waiting for test results for his iron levels, but in the meantime does any one have any good ideas to  try to get him to eat a more balanced diet? I tried crumbing beef steaks but he hated it and I then tried flouring sausages to make them more crunchy but I got the same result!

My pediatricion recommends to just keep offering him the same foods that we eat but its begining to become riduculous because of the amount of food we end up having to throw out and that we are not getting any where with his eating either!

Any suggestions would be soooo welcome, as I think that I am about to go mad trying to deal with this on my own!!!!

Thnks,

tina72
