2: what kind of car did you have?

3: breastfeedin twins. how do you entertain a young toddler while feedin two bubbas.

Re: Twin questions

I have too little cute 5mth old boys, can't help with the toddler problem, but I also have a 12yr old step daughter and found the same problem when I was looking for a car as she would not fit in the middle of the car seats

We ended up getting car seats called turn-a-tot, you can have them facing the front to put the bubs in and then turn them around...I love them- makes life a lot easier

We ended up buying a Kia Carnival, which is a 7 seater.  We have the twins in the very back seat which is the three seater and then we still have two free seats in the middle row.  Works for us.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Re: Twin questions

I dont know about the car problem... But with the feeding, I would try cookies, give bub a cookie or two and and let him eat it... or try to get him involved, let him 'pet' teh babies or just lay on your shoulder so he is getting affection too.

Best of luck

Re: Twin questions

1. I have 15 month old twins and 3 1/3 yr old son. When I had the twins in that kind of carseat/capsul I had them in the 3rd of my minivan. The 3rd row seats 3. My son was in the middle row since I still had to buckle him in. Thankfully, the 2nd row of my minivan stows away (folds and hides under). So I climb in with my back bent put everyone in their places. It's not an easy task. Then I reconfigured everyone to one twin in the middle row and the other and my son in the 3rd row just to see if it was any easier on me.     But now my son is in a booster seat so he can almost buckle himself in.  I now have my twins in the middle row and my son in the 3rd row.

2. I have a Chrysler Town & Country

3. I breastfed my twins up to 14 months and in the beginning (when my son was only 2 1/2), it was a little tougher on my toddler. I always had to set him up before I started nursing. I either had a movie playing for him, or he's eating a snack, or I could read him a book. (I used a twin breastfeeding pillow which freed both my hands). But most of the time my son was right beside me while I breastfeed. He loves skin contact, so I just let him hold my arm/hand.

Re: Twin questions

We have a mazda MVP seven seater.  The back row has three child seats, one forward facing for a toddler and two rear facing for the twins. We don't take the seats out. Don't know how you can do that. The seat in front we drop forward to get them all in their seats. We do move them carefully if they are asleep but I don't worry if they wake up. They go back to sleep without any problems. Allow time to get them all ready at first, although you soon get used to it.

I have not breatfed the twins, altho I do need to keep my toddler occupied so I make sure she has some toys or I put on a dvd. Expect a few interruptions as well. Toddlers know how to get your attention lol

Good luck. I have 3 under 2 and it's a daily challenge. Feel free to mail me if there's anything else you'd like to ask.

Cath xx
