Spots with no fever

Have a little girl aged 5 tonite when i got her out of the bath she was covered in spots on her back and tummy...

She has no fever and says she is feeling good and she has being out the back yard most of the day with the other kids..

we do have a dog as well..

Do you think its fleas, or grass bites as my lawns are long as well, or should i be worrying that she may have chicken pox..

Her appetite isnt lost as she has being eating me out of my home all day ..

Thank you in advance

Re: Spots with no fever

just keep an eye on it (the rash)and her behaviours.it a good sign that she has no fever and is well in herself. it could be anything the change of the season.don't worry if it is chicken pox then she will have it out the way and will only be contagious when the spots are fully developed.you will know by the end of weekend.kids get so many things and to stress about all you don't get to enjoy them as much as you would like.if they're itchy put a bit of vinagar on them(if skin not broken).of course if her mood changes and temp flares off to quack.

It could be chicken pox, you don't necessarily get a temperature. I got chicken pox when I was 9, I came out in spots before I felt sick, actually I don't remember feeling sick at all, just  had heaps of spots and they were very itchy.

Re: Spots with no fever

Hi, it doesn't sound like chicken pox to me. Chicken pox usually starts on the tummy area, and usually there is a fever too. What so the spots look like? Chicken pox look like pimples with a clear bubble/ head on them.

I think the flea/ grass itch is probably more likely. If you're unsure check with your doctor or pharmacist, but I'm don't think you need to be worried.
