Allergic Reation to suncreams ingredients...Le tan spray

Hi all!

Grub is really sensitive most body product and suncreams are no exception. I have two products that I know I can use with out any probs and they are hamilton sensitive and Banana Boat kids.

Over the weekend I thought I'd give hima go of the Banana Boat ultra foam but it is also a no go. So I've decided to do a list up of the products that he reacts to and thier ingredients so I can work out the exact ingredient /s that gives him problems.

I tried a Le tan Kids sun spray last summer and reacted to it as well so I gave the tin away to a friend who has used it all up and thrown the can away. So if anyone has a can of this at home could you please tell me what's in in so I can add it to the table and try to work out what sets him off.

Thanks

PS if you need to see what the Le tan one looks like this is the link to the product page Le tan

I've actually got an allergy to a lot of body products too. Have since I was a kid. I would say, concentrate on the ingredients used to add fragrance to the products. That's what affects me. In fact, if it turns out your son is sensitive to the same thing, it's better to avoid anything that has a fragrance added to it... although some essential oils might be okay. I've never had a problem with essential oils.

Good luck on your search! Hope this helps a bit!

Hi i have a skin condition called rosacea, and because of this i have  very senistive skin on my face, getting alergic to a lot of products.

Nutrimetics Sensitive sunscreans and blockout are fantastic.  I have no probs.

Also recently purchased OLAY COMPLETE DEFENCE DAILY UV MOISTURING LOCTION SPF 30+ and it is also extreamly good.

good luck.

Hi

You don't say what his reaction is. My Mum reacts to PABA in sunscreen; she comes out in a rash wherever she puts it. It is also very itchy for her. She checks the labels of all sunscreens before buying/ using.

Hope that helps

He comes out in a red lumpy rash like tiny little pimples where ever the product has been applied. It's hot too. Poor kiddo. The doctor gave him a cortisone cream with repeats last time it happened, has to be wshed in pinetarsol and takes claratine or phenergan depending on how bad and the coverage of the rash.

But I'm just trying to find out what the common ingredient is in these products so I can keep an eye out for them for any future purchases etc.

PS He also does this with any J&J products! except the cornstarch powder!
