not drinking milk

my baby who is just two months has stopped drinking milk from me and also he has stopped taking the bottle. he cries a lot both morning and night in hunger but he doesnt drink any kind of milk. we took him to the doctor last week. she told that baby's got a thrush. and gave daktarin orel get to be applied three times daily..

even the medicine is not working. we've been applying it as told.my husband and i cant bare the pain seeing our little one crying in hunger. what is there to do?? please help

if your bub is anything like my first, try adding a little farex or other rice cereal to the bottle. it will fill him up a little better. once i started doing this not only did he take to the bottle better, he also started to sleep thru the night. ahh peace

try a little honey on the bottles teat. give him a taste test first so it doesn't go everywhere? sit him up while feeding in case of reflux. thrush shouldn't stop him eating it should've worked by at least 3 days, go back to quack he needs to eat

How ever much honey you put on the teat it doesn't matter, honey should NOT be given to babies under the age on 12mths. This is because of the bacteria in honey and the botulism it can be fatal. Don't wont to scare you but check out this link here and here

I would be taking your baby to see a good Doctor.

Not only can the honey make your baby sick, but it can also aggravate the thrush. I agree that you should take him straight back to the doctor or emergency room. You don't want to take the chance that he'll become dehydrated on top of everything else.
