Re: very active!!!

Ah yes, the active bubs just when you are going to sleep.  There is a reason for it you know.  During the day you are active, moving around doing what you do.  Bubs is soothed by your activity, so sleeps much of the time.  once you stop, and try to sleep, bubs is no longer being soothed by the movement and so decides it is time to remind you they are there.

There isn't really anything you can do to prevent it from happening, bubs is still going to have their 'awake' time.  I found that by 'playing' with mine and talking to them, they calmed down a lot quicker, and would eventually go to sleep.

Another thing, if bubs is active at night now, then guess when bubs is going to be active when born.  Yep, at night.  Not sure how to prevent that from happening, other than to say get into a 'day and night' routine as soon as bubs is born.

Re: very active!!!

My little man was the biggest kick boxer!! ALways kicking my ribs at night and punching my sides. What i did was rubbed my stomach, just like rubbing a babies back to sleep, it always worked for us. Sometimes i use to  put my phone to my belly and play music, but that only worked sometimes, sometimes it would make him even worse.

Hope you get some sleep some.

Re: very active!!!

my son was like this. as soon as he discovered he had legs and arms it was black belt to the organs.   i tried tickling my tummy lightly with my nails. some days it woeked others it made him worse. try the warm milk before bed, i also found if i had a full day like walking around alot tired him out.

but like the others said if hes not moving you start to worry.

hope you find something

Re: very active!!!

Hiya

Not sure if it will work for you or indeed if it's just an old wives tale, but a warm drink of milk (no sugar!!) helped on the occasions where our bump was just that little bit over eager.  Doubt this is the cause but we're at 25-26 weeks now and "Bruce" has decided he no longer wants to be as active, instead he's very restful.  It's hard to know which is best - have bump go blackbelt on your insides or wait quietly for when you least expect it, leading to more worries for you because of the fact bump isn't kicking off like he used to.
