Re: Tantrums

My son is 3 1/2 years old and still of course have tantrums but they are very different from when he was younger. From 1 to close to 3 years old, I get tantrums just by saying he can't do something. Nowadays, we only get tantrums if he is tired and hungry. Most of the time, we can talk and reason with him so that a tantrum doesn't happen.

Re: Tantrums

I was told by my child health nurse that typical 'toddler' tantrums can start at 18 months and go to 4-5 years. My son is nearly 4 and due to his speech difficulties we still get awesome tantrums.

Re: Tantrums

All kids are different, for example my eldest stopped throwing them on a regular basis at the age of 3, where as I myself didn't really stop until I was 21 or so.
