Re: red rash

This might not be at all what you are looking for, but I had a good friend who's daughter constantly suffered from yeast infections as a baby.  It's something that I would see a Dr. about if it didn't go away.

Re: red rash

she probably is teething, teething tends to make urine alittle more acidic. another good cream is daktozin it is zinc and castor oil but it also has anti fungal and sticks even when the rash is moist, and pawpaw ointment is good too it washes of easier than zinc.

good luck

Re: red rash

A dairy allergy (not lactose intolerance) could very well cause rashes.... anywhere. unfortunately your incredibly unlikely to have allergy testing done given her age. In Australia theres something you can buy from the chemist called pinetarsol bath. Discuss it with the chemist, it might be suitable, but I think it depends on the kind of rash. That should eas the symptoms and make her a bit more comfortable. I would definately take the yoghurt away for a few days and see what happens as well as talking to the Dr.

Re: red rash

It could be caused by too much dairy, but unless you are giving her heaps and heaps of dairy i think it is more likely to be related to nappy rash. Just keep clean and put on nappy rash cream of your choice.

All the best

Re: red rash

Since it's "down there" could it be nappy rash??? Try using a barrier cream each nappy change, especially one with zinc - after cleaning the nappy area thoroughly. And be cautious how long you leave them in the same nappy for.  At 6 months she could also be teething which seems to cause some children to be prone to nappy rashes.

Re: red rash

It could be caused by dairy or could it be simple nappy rash?

keep it clean and dry, try a nappy rash cream and if it persists see a doctor
