My daughter has my maidan name and I have a greek father so I used Joy as  a middle name as one it is my mothers name but Joy seems to flow nicely with different names.  My daughters names are Phillipa Joy

I love the name Zahara.

When naming my kids I like them to have the same number of syllables (so when you call them all it flows easily.

I had chosen my daughters first name when I was 11, but never thought of her second name till I was pregnant. I just kept suggesting names to my husband. He kept saying no until he heard one that was just right and that's what we used. She is now three and we still call her by both names most of the time.

I am always trying to sell my first name " Nellina"   pronounces "nell -in- ah"  I get nellie after my grandma for short.

ooo, thats a pretty name, and kinda unique.  what about desarae I always liked that name and it would go with what you have picked out!  even mix up the spelling a bit... maybe put 2 E's on the end!    Let Us know what you decide on!

All jokes aside, it is a beautiful unusual name and a short one syllable name would suit it best.

I'm not going to waste time listing a heap of names you probably wouldn't like anyway, I'll just make two suggestions for you to consider...

1. Do you really have to give her a middle name? I don't have one. My father didn't have one. It's not like it really necessary to have a middle name, especially not with such an unusual first name as Zahara. In fact, the name Zahara is unusual enough that giving her a second name could make her name seem far more mundane overall.

2. My boys got their middle names from the first or second names of close relatives, something like that might be something to consider if you are inclined to want to name her after someone without being totally obvious about it.

Do you or your partner have a special someone in your family, like grandmother or aunt or even great grandmother???? Our little boy's middle name is after his grandfather on my partner's side and it is so lucky cause my grandfather's name is the same...So his middle name holds importance for both sides of his family...

Zahara means flowering, blooming.

I choose names from family but if I was to do it again I would go on meaning.
