My poor little baby, she just went to the toilet and screamed in pain cause she said it hurt when she peed! how the hell does that happen to a three year old??? should i take her to emergancy or let the poor girl suffer til tomooroow? is theer anything i can do, i had a look and she quite red down there...
when my three year old was about 5 months she had a uti which was shocking, wondering how that happens turns out she has kidney reflux which means every time she weed urine would travel back up the urinary tract and into the kidney. she was on antibiotics til she was two and a half, but when my 5 year old was nearly 4 she had on too they just told me to give her panadol and nurofen to control pain and fever and was an antibiotics.
OH, I hate those, I get tham all teh time anf I hate them. ask her if her back is kinda hurting her and if it is then it might be a kidney infection... which aslo makes UTI's. if she has drank Dr. pepper then dont let her, other sodas arent as bad but dr pepper is Horrible on the kidneys, to this day I still cant drink a DP without ending up in serious pain and ended up in the hospital for 4 days when I was pregers. also, have her drink Lots of cranberry juice. also, prob not something you want for your 3yr old but drinkign a Zema or something similar (citris beer/wine cooler) will help a bit too....
my daughter had it when she was 2.The doctors said that using bubble bath often can cause irritation so i stoped using bubble baths and used shampoo every so often. It stopped this reuccuring. But i would still take her to a doctor to get checked as my daughter had ulra sound done on her kidneys aswell just to check all was ok.It's all ways better to be safe than sorry.I'm sure alls ok at least getting her checked will help ease your worry nothing worse than not knowing.Hope this helps.Good luck
im sorry to hear that, unfortunetly uti's are common, she could have got it from not wiping herself correctly when going to the toilet or even if she has been sick with a virus, if shes in too much pain and you think she can't wait then i would take her to emergency, no need to let her suffer if it too bad. good luck.
My son had a very bad UTI when he was 18 months old. He ended up in emergancy because at the time we didn't know what it was. It came on very suddenly, just keep an eye on her temp. If it is rising then i would suggest you take her to the hospital.
Good Luck and i hope your little girl gets better soon,
Sounds to me like she has picked up an infection but I think you could wait til tomorrow to take her to the doctors. You could try giving her a bath with some dettol in the water, might help with the reddness.
I know that they can get a UTI at very young ages from not wiping properly after going to the toilet - if she's a back-to-front wiper she may have transfered some bacteria from her rear-end to girly-regions, thus resulting in a UTI. I would try ringing around to see a Doc today, but that's not possible take her to emergancy or try to see in Doc first thing in the Morning.
Sounds more like a uti - my daughter got one at 22 months - noticed an acidic smell to her urine. She seems to have one again at the moment (4 1/2). Doctor will do a urine test to confirm, then antibiotics. Until you see one, panadol if there is a temperature and some nappy rash cream for the soreness. We use Herron Zinc and castor oil for girly bits and it works a treat. I get my daughter a cotton bud and she uses that to put on the sore bits on the outside (she knows not to stick inside).
You should be able to buy ural sachets from your local chemists. They may be named something else. Pharmacist will know. My daughter suffered from urinary problems from age 2yrs. They are good for neutralising pain when you wee, though she would still need to be treated if it is an infection. Lots of water too.
