Your baby could have eczema. Getting a thick/heavy lotion/moisturizer may help your baby out. Use the lotion everday before bedtime and see if the skin improves.

Hi there,

Try some Baby Butter . . there is a great one made by Palmers and I used it on my daughter everyday, it really is great! She is now 2 and everyone comments on her fantastic skin, if only they had seen her before I discovered Baby Butter . .

Cheers Kellz

I would suggest if it is really bad take the baby to the doctor, if it is not too bad you can try using a light fragrance free oil.

I use almond (MAKE SURE THE CHILD DOES NOT HAVE ANY ALLERGIES FIRST)

Also you could try vitamin E capsules, just break them so the oil comes out and lightly rub into the skin

Hi there.  My boys have sometime come up with "dry skin spots" on their tummy's.  I usually to start with, take them to the local chemist - the staff in chemists are trained to help with that sort of thing, but if they dont know (doesnt happen vry ofen) they refer you to your doctor.

Hope this idea helps,

Lisa :)

ALot of abby washes on the market dry out babies skin. There is a few thig=ngs you can do to help.

#1- Use minimal bath wash and moistourise bubs skin after each bath and anytime you feel its dry.

#2- It can be costy but you can try the QV range, the bath wash and moisouriser, alot of people swear by it and its could for adults and children.

#3- Ive started using a product called " GAIA NATURAL BABY" my son gets really dry skin on his face after a bath and thsi has worked great, its all natural which is great too and about $10 a bottle. You can use it head to toe and its could as a barrier against nappy rash.

#4- Dont keep your baby in a bath longer then 10minutes, as this can dry out the skin. Also when bubs is out pat himher down with a soft towel dont rub the skin hard as this can irritation.

#5- Consider your washing powder/detergant, your baby may be getting an irritation by it, Ive had this problem.

#6- Taking your baby to a doctor to find out if she has ezcma (cant spell it sorry)

I hope some of these ideas have helped you and your babies skin gets better.
