If i gave my daughter panadol at 2 this afternoon, Is it still ok to give her nurofen at 7.00 tonight before she goes to bed?.. The thing im worried about is that panadol says every 4-6 hours so that means it'l only have been 5 hours between doses?.. Is it still ok to give her the nurofen at 7 tonight
panadol and nuro are different so u can do the mixer! lol
i thought it sounded really weird when it was suggested to me by a chemist so i asked my doc and its perfectly ok to mix the two and give a dose of each! i dont like giving tobias that much thought so i give him half of each one when hes teething and it really helps alot.
you can give both at the same time, but make sure your little one has had something to eat (preferably), or a big drink of milk if not eating, before the nurofen. I've always been anti ibuprofen, but my 2 recently had ear infections and this combination was the only way they could get more than one hour relief at a time. Use only as a short term solution and only if absolutely necessary.
I see my GP regularly and he told me that you can give children both. I give my kids both all the time and I LIVE on both. I get up and take panadol and nurofen with my breakie and then at lunch and then before bed.
hey sweetie, yes it is ok, i even had the hospital tell me that its ok to give them both at the same time, like half hr after....i didnt like that idea so i also asked my Dr and he said yes it is fine to do so as they are both different medications. But i still wouldnt give it one after another...but yes you can give it to her tonight!!! Hope she is ok hunny
i would say that five hours between doses is fine but I'm no doctor, and i have not tried my children on nurofen so not sure about that part of it, but i wouldn't have any problem with another dose of panadol after five hours, i am assuming that its children's panadol liquid, not the adult tablets!
