Ashton (3months old) is still doing 1 watery poo a day, its been going on ever since his 2month vaccinations, i also changed his formula to Karicare gold around that time due to wind preoblems and constipation. I have seen doctors and paeds but they arent concerned about it as its just once a day, and no vomitting or temperarures. Do you think it could be the formula?? He also had a rash come up 2weeks ago which we went to the hospital about, bloods came back clear and they put it down to a virus, he also had diarrhea at that time and they werent concerned about it at the hospital.
I've been reading all this and really think that you should change formula first and foremost...Go to just an ordinary one not the gold cause you said you have tried all the other gold ones....Either S26 or Nan I reckon...I have had a lot of trouble with my cherubs and formulas and I can tell you what worked for one was not the same for the others...
I think you may be having a reaction to the formula as the reaction from the vaccine should have long passed..(if it is over a month)...Does he go to childcare???Just a thought if he does he will pick up a lot more viruses from there...
Some kids do just have watery poos...My girls were like that especially my eldest....(she did 5 or 6 a day and they were bad....) yet my son only does one every 2 or 3 days (and that is wrong too cause he's been holding on to it....poooweee...)
I reckon you should try that and give it about 3 to 5 days and see how he is doing....If still the same I would go back to your maternal health nurse or your Dr...
Just a thought, I used Karicare gold for my second aswell, and I fould that he used to do runny poos, I've heard that the prebiotics in it can unset little tums, even though it's meant to be good for them I changed to s26 just the normal one, not the gold, and it stopped the runny poos, it's also cheaper which is a bonus.
i have read on the little card you get inside the formula that it loosens there poo but i didnt think it would this bad. It may be the formula. I might try adifferent formula cos so far ive used all the expensive ones with him, nan gold, nurture gold and karicare gold and his had problems with all of them.
Yeah I know you think that they're the better ones, because they're so expensive we try to do our best for the little ones don't we. I found the s26 to be really good, helped with the poos, and seemed to keep him fuller for longer and not as much tummy pain.
Hey dannii has he had the rotoviris or rotarix vaccine yet?
The only thing you can do is see the doctors unfortunatly. And he isnt sick otherwise. Although babies poos are quite watery anyways and he is pooing so i wouldnt worry overally alot.
yes he had the oral drops at 2 months, so i was thinking a reaction to that. But it says that the vaccination can cause severe diarrhea an di wouldnt call its evere cos its just 1 runny poo per day.
Yep thats the stuff YUK! I still remember it the smell is stuck in my head.
Um the thing is they say that it is a compulsary vaccine and if u dont get it they will not give u his payment at 18months its a 100-200 buck payment for vaccines and if u miss vaccines u may have trouble with child care and schooling. Well u do in wa i dunno wat it is like over ur way?
if its causing him problems (the oral drops) should it need to be compulsary?? I would still get all his other vaccines and i dont care about a couple of bucks if the vaccine is making him sick. Im just sick of this watery poo, the smell makes me sick and his farts are deadly!! I do know here your kids need to be vaccinated to get into kinders and school but they would have alot of problems with pplenty of kids cause so many parents arent worrying about the rota drops because of the last one that caused so many problems. Im not sure if i should just change his formula and see how that goes.
I dunno hun they said oh it shouldnt be a problem but it seriously was for me. I was not impressed with it at all.
I honestly wish i said stick ya vacine and left mia alone. Ella didnt have it the year before being that there is only 15 months between them. yet mias poos were horrible irregular too runny and stinky. She bearly had her milk and everything.
