peggers!

hi there, i have recently been feelin very off, ive been gettin dizzy spells but today was the worst yet. i was in the kitchen going about my usual day to day rotine and all of a sudden had blurred vision, felt very dizzy just felt unwell all together.i rang the doc and all she said was to rest and its my blood pressure its a lil low, but my problem is with both my other 2 children this never happened and i did have low blood pressure with them. i know every preg is different but felt that this was not right, as this is the first time in any of my preg that i have felt like this i was a lil alarmed. i would have thought that all these things that i mentioned would have something to do with high blood pressure???? so i just wondering if anyone else has been like this and this bad??? by the way im about 7wks i have a app nxt wk to find out how far i am. thanks :)

Re: peggers!

Hi,

My last pregnancy I had exactly the same thing happen to me when my first pregnancy was fine! I used to get very light headed to the point of not being able to focus then seeing stars.. i actually collapsed twice, but the doctor also told me it was nothing to worry about, that my blood pressure was a bit low, and that this can sometimes happen in pregnancy, it is quite common... I was really worried in my second pregnancy as it was totally different to the first, and the dr kept telling me it is perfectly normal... and.. everything turned out perfectly fine.. I had a healthy baby girl. SO... my advice to you is try not to worry, just take it easy which is probably hard with two other children.

Re: peggers!

I've had low blood pressure most of my life (first diagnosed when I was pregnant). Yeah; dizziness, light-headed, sometimes nausea. Mine's normalised now I'm in the high blood pressure-agegroup. Low blood pressure doesn't seem to be anything to worry about (not like high blood pressure). But just be aware not to stand up quickly.. hang onto something when you're getting out of the bath. And try to eat small amounts regularly (grazing) because that seems to help with the light-headed nausea thing.
